Kent-Moore DT-50902 Adjustable Clutch Piston & Air Travel Check Compressor

The Kent-Moore DT-50902 Adjustable Clutch Piston & Air Travel Check Compressor is a versatile tool with adjustable legs that can accommodate clutch pack diameters ranging from 3" to 7".

This tool is specifically designed for the installation of triple clutch pistons and retaining rings, such as the C45678R and C23468 models. To compress the C1278R clutch piston dam and install the retaining ring, you will need to use the DT-51328 Extension Rod in conjunction with this compressor.

Additionally, the DT-50902 can be used in combination with the DT-50905 clutch fixture and DT-50903 load gauge for air travel checks of clutch packs.

To perform this check, place the clutch pack assembly onto the DT-50905 Clutch Fixture and insert it into the counterbore in the bottom plate of the DT-50900. Next, turn the DT-50900 Forcing Screw until the pressure gauge indicates the proper load for the clutch pack assembly. This will flatten the pack assembly discs and backing plates. Position the J-8001 Dial Indicator on the pack and set it to zero. Then, connect air at shop pressure to one of the two ports in the DT-50905. The travel dimension shown on the dial indicator can then be checked and compared to the eSI specification.
